For one year now, Paris and it's nearby suburbs have been able to take advantage of the Velib'. It's nearly free and it allows you to pick up a bicycle, use it for as far as you need and drop it off again when you reach the end of your journey. There are around 14,000 bicycles, and pick-up / drop-off stations every 300 metres or so all over Paris. There are 5 stations right next to Bercy, which makes it an excellent way to get to the show.

If you must take your car: From the city centre, drive along the quays to Palais-Omnisport de Paris-Bercy (venue is by the river). From the Peripherique, exit at Porte de Bercy. There is private parking under Bercy.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY

Palais-Omnisport de Paris-Bercy is located 3 km / 2 miles from central Paris. There is a Bercy Metro stop across the street and at least six bus lines that stop at the venue.

Parking:

Although we were not permitted to setup our own bike parking on the premise, there are many Velib bicycle parking stations near Bercy. More information about Velib can be found here: http://www.velib.paris.fr/actualites/decouvrez_velib/radiohead_encourage_les_deplacements_doux

Energy:

All electricity service is provided by EDF and the venue participates with their day/night tariff program ("heure creuse and heure pleine etude").

Recycling:

The venue brought in paper, plastic, and aluminum recycling stations throughout the backstage area.

Catering:

Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. Compostable food scraps were collected for Gardens of Paris Composters.

Concessions:

The concessions companies used recyclable plastic cups which were collected throughout the show.

Other green initiatives:

The outside of the venue is covered with green grass. Low energy light bulbs are used for flood lights and elsewhere throughout the venue.

A special thanks to Yann Hervouet, Pierre Alexandre Marie, and everyone at Corida.
