ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMARY
The Main Square Festival is located in the centre of Arras, France. Arras is located 53 km / 33 miles from Lille. The main Arras train station is 500m from the festival and the ticket price includes a special 5€ ticket throughout northern France.
Parking:
Car park spots were limited to off site pay spots in Arras. We setup a bike park, but few people used it.
Energy:
Today was a charge day for our big battery. All stage power and battery charging was run from city's electrical grid.
Recycling:
The backstage area was located off site in a nearby building. We were able to use the building access to the municipal glass, plastic, paper, and aluminium recycling.
Catering:
Caterers provided washable plates, cutlery, and biodegradable cups for all meals. As with almost all of our shows, water coolers were provided for use with our refillable water bottles.
Concessions:
The festival implements a cup return policy where fans can return 20 empty cups for a free drink.
Other green initiatives/issues:
The audience area was a complete mess after the show, trash blowing all over the cobblestones.
Many thanks to Phillipe Legnele and the Main Square Festival.
